Altre domande riguardo "Babe"

Q: can be say babe to baby?
A: In what context? You can use them interchangeably but babe or baby are common terms of endearment for a significant other where as you are unlikely to hear an infant referred to as babe but you will hear them referred to as baby.
Q: Hey babe, don't horse around. Just chill out and be a good boy sembra naturale?
A: After reading your response, I now have enough context to say it does sound natural and makes sense.

I do agree that the term "babe" is most commonly used romantically these days. That being said, using "babe" as an affectionate way to call your child is completely up to you, and no one should say to you otherwise as you are the parent and he is your son.

However, I think what threw me off a little is the combination of "babe", and then subsequently following up with "just chill out". If you're using very endearing types of words such as "babe", "baby", etc. to refer to your child - following with a similar endearing tone would sound more natural. I can understand why some people in their response mistook it for a dialogue between a couple, because without context that is what it sounds like.

Maybe something like this would be more natural:

"Hey (babe / son), don't horse around. Calm down and be good, ok?"

"Hey (babe / son), don't horse around. Relax and stay close to dad, ok?"

"Babe come here, don't horse around. Behave and stay with daddy, ok?"

This kind of speech is commonly referred to as "baby talk". It is only kind of weird because this is text and no one can see you with your child right now, however in real life it would make sense and it is natural.

If you wanted the coarser tone, my preference would be to replace "babe" with "son", his name, or a nickname.

"Hey ○○, don't horse around. Just chill out and be a good boy."

I hope this helps〜
Q: No babe, either you marry her or you marry me. sembra naturale?
A: what you wrote is very accurate / normal / natural. You used "either" correctly!!! 😊
Q: What a good babe! sembra naturale?
A: Usually in America we refer to body parts in that sort of sense. We'd say " what a good body" or "what a nice person" depending on what context you were going for.
