A: They can be used similarly or differently, but they sound very different.

I believe there is a God. (belief can be spiritual.)

I think that education should be free. (sounds a little less sure of yourself. maybe open to other ideas? easily influenced?)

I think about it all the time. (actively thinking about something)

I guess that school should be free. (this makes you sound unsure of yourself, like you don't really care)

I guess the answers on the test. (guessing on tests because you are unsure of the answer.)

I hope this helps :)
Q: Qual è la differenza tra I can't believe e I can't imagine ?
A: They mean two totally different things. You'd use "I can't believe" to doubt that something is real or that it really happened. You'd use "I can't imagine" when you just can't see something happening in the way you can't project it in your head.

I am not very familiar with japanese but with some online help I think the verbs would be:
Believe = 信じる
Imagine =想像する
