Like for example certain tomatoes you might make a salsa with (green), but others (beef tomatoes) might be good in a sandwich, and others in soup.

I think red pepper tastes super sweet, green tastes more earthy, I'm not sure about yellow or orange. When I get home I'm going to try some yellow and orange pepper on their own, I never usually eat them on their own which is why I can't answer.

I love red pepper on its own though.

Oh, in the UK we call them peppers (bell peppers to give the full name, but nobody says bell peppers unless they are clarifying it's the vegetable, not the spice they're talking about).

In Australia they call them Capsicum.

Capsicum is the seed, as far as I'm aware. You have capsicum in chillis, they always say "take the seeds out, that capsicum is where the heat comes from" .

A: In US , they are called peppers - I never heard them called capsicum until I moved into the gulf region

A: It sounds OK but I think native speakers would probably say 'peppers' instead of capsicum :)
