Q: Che cosa significa conscious choice?
A: It's easier to explain what an unconscious choice is. Let's imagine I'm drinking beer with a friend, but I'm trying to lose weight, so I tell my friend I'm not going to eat any 안주. Then we start talking and enjoying our beers, and next thing I notice, I look down and see that I've eaten all the 안주. I made an unconscious decision to eat. A conscious decision is the opposite of that. For example, imagine I'm going out for 회식 and I know my boss will pay the bill, and I don't like my boss. I might make the conscious decision to eat as much as possible so that it will cost him as much money as possible.

Q: Che cosa significa you had a terrible choice to make in Berlin one life over millions
i don't understand "one life over millions"?
