Q: Mostrami delle frasi esempio con Just wondering if the following is a correct sentence.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Several mothers I met said, “I become depressed when my children do not recover from a cold quickly, blaming it on the poor care I take of my children.”.
A: The way you've used "blaming" doesn't work in first-person. It'd sound more natural if you broke it up into two sentences, or, if you wanted to keep it in one sentence, use punctuation to separate the clauses. For example:

"I become depressed when my children do not recover from a cold quickly—I blame myself for not taking good enough care of them."

"...the poor care I take of my children" also sounded a bit awkward, so I changed it in the sentence above.

Q: The following year, a TBS executive traveled to the United States, accompanied by a Japanese program exporter. They successfully negotiated with ABC, one of the three major networks, to sell "Eighth Man" to them. However, ABC's contract with ABC contained a clause stating that TBS shall transfer to ABC all the intellectual property rights to the characters, their names and the title of the show (except in Japan), but TBS signed the contract without checking it carefully. It meant that new "Eighth Man" shows, comic strips, and movies were possible to make beyond TBS's control abroad of Japan.

Japanese people learned for the first time that cartoon characters could be sold separately from the work as intellectual property. Such a method was not written in the law, but it was possible to claim it to be a "right" by combining several laws. This American-born legal theory, invented by Walt Disney to maintain complete control over his beloved son Mickey Mouse as an intellectual property, was learned by TBS through its legal failure of the "Eighth Man" contract. They realized that exporting TV cartoons to the U.S. would not be as easy as they had originally thought. sembra naturale?

Q: I found the following sentence in my kid’s English textbook. Is this expression natural?

There is a pen there.

I feel it weird because of the duplication of “there”. What do you think of it?
A: it seems weird but yes like the other answers said, the two “there”s have different meanings 😊 to say “there is something” means that something is in existence and to say “something is there/here” means that something is in that specific spot. so if i only said “there is a pen” then i would only be saying that the pen exists. By saying “there is a pen there” i’m meaning that a pen exists in that EXACT spot lol. it’s a silly and tricky english thing
