Parole simili a "Homework" e le sue differenze

Q: Qual è la differenza tra I have not finished my homework yet. e I still have not finished my homework. ?
A: @tomomama: Fundamentally they mean the same thing. However, the second sentence, "I still have not finished my homework" could be interpreted as you've been doing the homework for awhile and it is still not finished. Adding the word "still" is what would imply it's taking awhile to complete. As an example a conversation that could happen would be:
"Hey Tomomama, have you finished the homework yet?"
"No. I still have not finished my homework. It is taking a long time to finish."
Q: Qual è la differenza tra he is done his homework. e he has done his homowork ?
A: @tomm: He is done his homework doesn't make sense because "is" is present tense while the rest of the sentence is past tense.
Past tense = He has done his homework
Present tense = he is doing his homework.

Hope this helps !
Q: Qual è la differenza tra homework e assignment ?
A: Homework is usually school-related. It's a relatively small amount of work students have to complete at home after school to submit (or to prepare for) next class. Example: answering a series of math questions from a textbook.

An assignment is generally a larger task or project that involves more work to complete and it does not have to be school-related. It's a project, task or duty that formally gets assigned to you and usually must be completed by a specified date/time.

A "homework assignment" may imply a small assignment that is to be completed as part of a student's regular homework.

In school or college, "homework" is not always graded (it may be optional or simply recommended in some cases) however assignments are always graded.
Q: Qual è la differenza tra I have to finish my homework within 50 min. e I have to finish my homework in 50 min. ?
A: "In 50 minutes" would mean 50 minutes from now.

"Within 50 minutes" would mean that you have a time limit of 50 minutes to do it but you could start doing it later or whenever you want.
Q: Qual è la differenza tra I had my homework done by my friend. e I had my friend do my homework. ?
A: The only difference I noticed is that the first sentence is in the passive tense and the second sentence is in the active tense.

Q: Come si dice in Inglese (Stati Uniti)? this is my homework : I must do a piece of theatre... There are any mistakes in my introduction?
A: It is July 3rd, 1994, in Rwanda. It is the evening, and Amanda, a young Tutsi, is about to go to bed when she hears a sound from the basement.
Q: Come si dice in Inglese (Stati Uniti)? I'd like to write about my homework. I attend lots of different classes but I have little homework. I just sometimes have to hand out a report. So it's easy. Is it correct? Please correct if there are some errors.
A: I think it would be best as,

"My homework is easy. I attend lots of different classes, but don't have much homework. I just sometimes have to hand in a report."

> I'd like to write about my homework.

When Japanese people write English, it is common for them to start with, "I'd like to write about..." or "I'd like to talk about..."

This is natural English, but it isn't a good habit. You should remove it.

Instead, when writing in English, it is better to start with your main point. In Japanese you usually put your main point at the end, but in English you usually put it at the beginning. You could start by saying, "My homework is easy," and then explain why from there.

> I attend lots of different classes but I have little homework.

This is OK.

However, it is a habit of Japanese learners of English to use "little" more often than native speakers do. Also, "a little" and "little" have opposite meanings in this context, and because Japanese people often forget to say "a," it can be confusing to guess what the person means.

I recommend using "I don't have much" instead of "I have little." It is more natural and less confusing.

> I just sometimes have to hand out a report. So it's easy.

This should be "hand in a report."

>Is it correct?

"Is this correct?"

>Please correct if there are some errors.

"Please tell me if I made any mistakes."
Q: Come si dice in Inglese (Stati Uniti)? If I had had done my homework earlier, I would have been relaxed (I would be relaxed) is it strange??
A:
If I had done my homework earlier, I would be less stressed.
Or
If I had done my homework earlier, I would have time to relax.
Q: Come si dice in Inglese (Stati Uniti)? If I had done my homework earlier,I would be relaxed today. is it strange??
A: Well it's a little strange to say it that way, but try saying this instead "if I had done my homework earlier I would've been able to relax for the rest of the day" it's kind of long though.

Q: I did my homework until 2:00 pm last night.
I was doing my homework until 2:00 pm last night.
Which is correct?and why?
A: Either one is fine. I think the first one is a little more natural, because it's just stating what you did last night. The other one works better if you are going to pair it with something else.
Example:
Mom: Why do you look so tired?
You: I did my homework until 2:00 pm last night.

Mom: Why do you look so tired?
You: I went out with some friends, which left me doing my homework until 2:00 pm last night.

Hope this helps! By the way, love your profile pic.
Q: We have to do this homework for today sembra naturale?
A: Unnatural because of the word choice. “We have to do this homework that’s due today” would be more natural. I understood what you were saying though.
Q: Can you check my homework? Thanks ^^

Dear Sirs

I'm writing to request information about the English course I'm interested in.

Last year I did the Pre-Intermediate course. I'm satisfied with my decision, because I have significantly improved my English. I also had a fantastic teachers, who made friendly atmosphere.

Nowadays I'm looking for a Advanced course for teenagers and I have some questions about your English lessons.
Firstly, I'd like to know when the course starts? I'm staying in London for four months and I would like to start learning as soon as possible. Also, I wonder how much the course cost? I'm teenager and the price is very important to me. Finally, Could you tell me if you have any discounts for students, who will study with you in the future?

I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Q: You could argue that doing homework is troublesome. However, you have to admit that there is meaning to the act that teachers give students homework.
I realize that sitting at a desk to study for many hours affects the health of their brains and bodies. Because when they go back home, they have to sit some more to do their homework in spite of the fact they spend all day at school, so they need some rests to unwind for their brains and also any kind of exercise to be refreshed for their bodies rather than doing homework. I also appreciate that the majority of people hate doing homework. It cause not only hosts of stresses to have to hand it in on time and make them fed up of their education but also let them stay up late which cause disease. Moreover, there's no question that the fact is there is no time. Where is the time for activity, leisure, hanging out with their friends and spending the time with their family? There's a reason, during the school week and even on the weekends, they are busy doing school and homework at home. By the time they are done it, it's time to go to bed.
But having said that, don't you think that homework is something that they will need in the future in their lives? It can help them in the way of scoring higher on their grade which are handy for college or getting a job. Since It teach them how to learn or practice the material that you learned without someone to help them, it is good tools to help them improve their skills throughout classes, which is related to academics. Furthermore, it can do teach them more how to be responsible and how to use time management such an ability to split up their homework into about time management. Isn't the most significant point of it what they learn about life skills, which is not related to academic? In the real world when they have a major project, they will know how to get your time wisely to get it done. When they have to solve problems on their own, using what they’ve learned without any assistance. All thanks to homework.
