I would say loot is when you rob someone and plundering is when you steal something during a war.

Q:
Can looting be possible without rioting or one is the consequence of the other?
A:
interesting question!
A riot is defined as three or more people acting together, with the threat of disorder or violence and resulting in a disturbance of the peace.
Looting is to steal good from a place or store.
So to answer the question, looting is possible without rioting. For example during a hurricane or other weather disruption event looting is unfortunately common even though no riot occurred. Looting also happens during wars (not a riot).
Theoretically a riot can occur without looting however it’s quite common that during a riot, looting will occur.
So no, one is not a consequence of the other but looting during a riot does seem very common.

Q:
Why do those looting all over the US have to do with the protesting? Or is it simply completely separate things that we should not connect to each other? And IF ANTIFA is causing this chaos, a part of which seems originated from white nationalists, and then why some people just join and have hun looting?
A:
Part of the looting is a specific protesting strategy:
An example is the Target(a grocery store chain) that was burned down in Minneapolis. Across the US, big stores like Target don't like to build in neighborhoods with a high population of People of Color (POC). This is called Redlining. They basically see it as a high risk area for losing money. That Target was built in a historically black neighborhood and was considered a "testing store" for different security measures. Basically, they were using a Black neighborhood to test different ways to prevent stealing because they assume that black neighborhoods will steal more, a racist assumption.
So, this Target is already not a welcomed store in the community. This Target also refused protestors entry after they were maced/pepper sprayed by the police. The protestors needed milk to stop the stinging in their eyes. So, this Target was part of the looting and destruction. The food and items that were looted from the Target were taken into the neighborhood and redistributed to people in need. Remember that currently 100,000 people have died from COVID-19, we have an extremely high unemployment rate, and the US government has provided very little to support anyone who is in need. Also, remember that this protest is about police killing black men and women. These protests are happening after a LOT of black people have been killed and no justice has occurred. A lot of the police officers who killed a black person get arrested but then are never convicted, so there is no justice for those who were killed.
Big stores like Target have mass amounts of money, their buildings have insurance, so they will be fine and will rebuild the Target no problem. So, this looting is thought out and reflective of communities needs after they have not been listened to for a very long time. The CEO of Target already made a statement basically saying they're fine.
There are other looters who are just following the protests to cause trouble/chaos. Some of these are white people who just like causing trouble, some of these are undercover cops who are trying to make the protestors "give" the police a reason to react (a common tactic that has been used in the Civil Rights Era) and some of the other looters are white supremiscts who are trying cause violence to fit their own politic wants.
Antifa is not one specific group. It stands for "Anti-Facscists" so it is just an ideology or political position, but a lot of people in the US, especially conservatives, try to talk about Antifa as a group.
Sorry this is so long, but it is a very complex situation that requires a lot of background knowledge.
