Public because the school system makes public schools to be good. Private schools are not bad but there's the mindset that if you go to a private school teachers won't have the courage to fail you or to be hard on you 'cause you pay them so there's this general belief that public schools are hard and private schools are easy... at least this is what the majority of people think where I'm from
