Do you really use the phrase "Could you tell me ---?" when you want to ask someone to tell you something (e.g. how to use this computer, how to go to the station...)?
I learned this phrase from many textbooks, but I want to know if it's actually used in everyday English.

@Haru8: yes its used, but i hear more of "how do you use this computer?,how do you go to the station"
use "could you tell me"
with people you just met, its fine with friends and family too though.
