I don't understand why non-native speakers sometimes try to correct other people's entries. I would never try to correct entries written in languages except Japanese because I'm a Japanese native speaker. sembra naturale?

In my opinion, it's a little weird to say "I would never try to correct entries written in languages except Japanese".
"I would never try to correct entries written in any language but/except Japanese" might be better.

( By the way, I'm not strictly an English native speaker. My mother tongue is Mandarin, and I have been learning English for over 10 years. I read English articles, write English essays, have economic classes in English and so on.
Sometimes I correct others' English entries just because I happen to know the answer.

I understand you only answer questions about Japanese, cuz it's responsible to write an answer that you're sure it's correct.
Being a native speaker might make his/her answer is more likely to be correct, but a non-native speaker may also be qualified to answer some questions and glad to offer a hand.
Actually, I think it's a matter about providing right answers, not about being native speakers or not.)

Unfortunately, most of their corrections are likely to be incorrect so far. I'm pretty sure yours are fine because you're almost native and live in the US. I'm talking about those who learn it as a second language and just an advanced speaker they believe they are themselves.

I think this is very rude to say to people who only want to help cause you're making judgements without knowing everyone's backgrounds except what they have on their profiles. One can be native in one language and learning/using another language for many years. (My mother tongue is Mandarin as well like alittlejoye here but I've also been learning English for over 20 years, and I live in the U.S. as well, doing basically everything in English.)
So basically if someone knows better than you and willing to help, it's likely that you could learn something from him/her. But if you're not happy with the answers, you could always say thank you and wait for another one. There's no need to be biased and make a fuss about it. Being supportive and using MANNERS could also be part of the learning process afterall.

And in addition, it's a common sense in Japan not to be a backseat driver unless you're a native speaker. Maybe it's just common only in Japan, but it's just for your reference. Anyway, I'll keep your advice in my mind.
