Ehm, the first things I think of are not putting too much emphasis on the 'r' sounds, like in 'car', and using glottal stops :)

Thank you for your answer, Posuki! I like it because I would like to become an Australian English speaker and "r" sound is difficult for me to make! :-)

Our accent is often described as 'lazy' so we don't really have a accent but we are often stereotyped with the heavy 'Gday mate' accent. I remember hearing that Japanese people have difficulty pronouncing l as you don't have it in your alphabet. Maybe practice that? It's really hard to tell you how to have a Australian accent if we don't know your voice.

Wow! You are exactly right! My Australian friend told me to practice L sound because my L sound is strange. Thank you for the reminder as well as answer!

The Australian accent started from drunk English people so it's "lazy" sounding and we often shorten a lot of words c:

Accents vary from state to state. Or rather, I think it depends on the person.

We don't really use "r" sounds much. We speak kind of lazily, but don't really have much of an accent as is stereotyped. E.g. "car" would be more like "cah", "another" would be more like "anothah". It's not that noticeable to be honest.
