Yeah. You can say his face flushed but I don't think I've ever heard it in spoken language. I've heard people say "his face became red", though. @jickoon

Try: "A.The minute he ate the seriously spicy noodles, his whole face flushed, and he had to go to the hospital. B. Figures. He's dumb for being big on spicy stuff when he is terrible at eating them! A. Tell me about it"

@Shai-fox: can you tell me the reason why you changed 'even though' to 'when' and dropped the adverb 'instantly'???

You could keep even though. You could say "Figures, He's dumb for being big on spicy stuff even though he is terrible at eating them" It has the same meaning, it's just a mouthful to say in my opinion. I dropped instantly, for similar reasons. It wasn't necessary in the sentence. It sounds unnatural to have the descriptor there in my opinion. Native speakers will understand you fine, but you wouldn't usually see it written in books. "His whole faced flushed" is a sentence often used in literature. @jickoon
