Faculty would be faculty of languages but English Linguistics is a course. Also could be called a program but most commonly we'd refer it to as a course.
ps. that's in the UK I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere.
also, English Linguistics is a department as well but you wouldn't study a department, you'd study a course.

i think its more natural if you use "departement" than faculty or course :)

you would call English Linguistics your "program". Faculty and course are used for other things. For example, the faculty of arts, or the faculty of engineering. A course in these faculties could be painting (for art) or math (for engineering)
