So the word Intimacy doesn’t have to mean sex.
Sex can be described as intimate or not in certain situations.

In the dictionary sex is considered intimate in and of itself, though some people would say otherwise.

Intimacy is more so the “closeness.” You have with someone. It can even describe an environment.

For example.

“My best friend Gina and I have an intimate relationship! More so than either of us have with Jennifer.”

“The lighting in this restaurant gives us a more intimate experience. Dark and quiet. It feels like it’s just the two of us in the entire world.”

“He isn’t into intimacy. All he wants is a quick fuck!”

“She enjoys the intimacy of foreplay in bed. It really gets her in the mood.”

Depends. Sex is a physical action between one person and another. Some feel there should be an emotional connection and that this is part of the sdxual experience.
Others separate emotion and sex entirely.
Still others need that intimacy to even perform properly sexually.

Others choose not to have sex but have a partner and can still be intimate with them.

There's no real 100% answer to this question.

There’s a lot of ways. It just depends on the situation. If it’s casual with close friends you’d probably use slang. If you’re at the doctor you’d use more formal speech.

Very casual (try not use with people you have only just met):

“I got laid”

“We smashed”

“We fucked”

In a more formal setting or when speaking to someone you have no prior relationship with:

“I/we/she/he had sex.”

“We/I/she/he had sexual intercourse.”

“We engaged in coitus.”

It really just depends on where you are and what situation you’re in. There’s a lot of ways to say that you have had sex or are going to have sex or even asking for sex.

I’d suggest going to google because there’s really a bunch of ways.
