Qual è la differenza tra I will do e I am going to do ?Sentiti libero di rispondere con un esempio.

My teacher didn't give me a perfect score on my test because I should write "will" instead of "am going to". I can't catch this slight difference that she said. Could you explain the difference more precisely? this is my exam:

"the situation: One of students studied very well about history of Edo period"
Teacher: So, you have learned it a lot. I have an idea. Why don't you give the speech what you learned in class?
Student:Well, okay. ___________________.
T: That's great. So, see you in next class.
S: See you.

We have to think a sentence what the student says.
My answer was
"I am going to review my study this evening to make a good speech."

And my teacher said I should "will" insted of "am going to".
