¿Porque se dice "ese soy yo" en vez de "ese es yo"?
¿Porque se dice "ese soy yo" en vez de "ese es yo"?
He estado viendo esto recientemente. Tambien, la frase 'él no soy yo' en vez de 'él no es yo'. (Vale, lo admito, he estado escuchando Blas Cantó, ja ja.)

Porque cuando dices “es” ya estás hablando en tercera persona -> él.
Por eso usamos “soy” en lo relacionado a ti mismo.

ese es un perro,gato,gallo,puerco etc not (Yo) or it would sound like you just started a new sentence and you didnt even finished the first sentence.

@Alex202 Claro, y en inglés, la palabra 'ese' se vuelve el sujeto de la frase. Entonces, decimos "That is me." Aunque, en español, parece que dices "That am I". En ese caso, 'yo' es el sujeto de la frase en vez de 'ese'. ¿si?

Maybe it will help you looking at it this way:
"I am that one."
Although "that's me" is way more common, this is the sentence we need.
"That one, I am."
Sure, no one but Yoda would say this in English, but it's easy to see that I just switched things here.
With an extra switch (between the pronoun and the verb), this already resembles the 'standard' Spanish sentence:
"Ese soy yo."
