I am sorry if anyone from Winnipeg reads this but I think Winnipeg has the worst reputation of any city in Canada, in terms of being boring and having awful weather. I have been there and I think it is at least average nice, and nicer than Calgary, Edmonton, Regina. What I mean to say is, it has an undeservedly bad reputation. At least, it does here in Vancouver.
On the other hand, I think most people would say that it is a very safe city, and as far as I know the economy is OK there.
