@ha_lu A lot of English popular music is sung with an American accent.
It’s always noticeable.
Generally the vowels are longer and consonants are softer so it is easy to sing that way.

There are some small differences in pronunciation but the major difference is the accents. Apart from that there isn't any differences that could cause misunderstanding, if you can understand UK english then you can understand American english.
hope this helps☺️

@evanoates2601 Thank you very much for your polite comments! And I'm sorry for the late reply.
I was relieved to the fact that there was no misunderstanding for the difference in pronunciation.
Can I ask a little more detail about “There are some small differences in pronunciation”? I'd like to know if there is a concrete example, and what you feel different about American and British singers.

@Igirisujin Oh, I understand! Thank you very much for the correct answer!
And I'm sorry for the late reply!
May I ask you the following questions, if you like?
For example, the Beatles etc. are also American accents?
Also, are the old and famous Scottish songs the same?

@ha_lu In most of the earlier songs the Beatles copied American singers, in their later songs they often sang with English pronunciation.
Old Scots songs would be in Scots (Scottish).

@ha_lu well im not sure if theyd use this word in a song but i believe americans say "trash/trash can" whereas english people would say "rubbish/rubbish bin" there are a few words like this that are different.
