They mean exactly the same thing, except the second one sounds a bit more personal. You can really say them both. Some people might think it’s better to say theres’ something on your fact to someone you don’t know very well, since You have some sauce on your face sounds a bit personal and maybe a little bit like it is because of something the other person did that he got his face dirty. So better to say the first one to someone you are not close to. But the distinction is very minor. Especially in US culture where formality is not that important, compared to Korea or Japan.
