@leopard7 While the English is OK, person A feels kind of off. Either that or they're some posh British person since people don't normally declare that they're "revising their expectation". Also note that person A is talking down to person B, so they're also kind of rude. In the context, it suggests person A has asked this before and is beginning to grow impatient.

Also, I should say that "I now expect you to have done it by next Tuesday" should be "I now expect you to do it by Tuesday."

@leopard7 I don't have a rigorous justification, but I don't think I've ever heard "I expect you to have done it" followed by a time in the future. It sounds almost like a contradiction.
You could also say instead, "I expect you to be done by next Thursday."
