Domande Inglese (Regno Unito)

If there's a lot of food, or let's say multiple platters of cheese, on a table would you say it's covered with/of food (or cheese)? I found both postpositions being used but they both sound a bit off when I start to think of them. Or is there some other verb than "covered" (filled with?) that you would use? Cheers! 😊
