Regarding the expression "have a good day at work". I have one last question. Please take a look at the context.

In a company, the manager enters a large room where there are some employees working. He talks to them, asks a few questions while the employees are working. At the end of the conversation, while the employees are working he says: "People, I have to go now. Have a good day at work. Bye."

My question is: Is it idiomatic to say "have a good day at work" while the employee is working? Or "have a good day at work" is said only before the working day starts?
