I have (another) question about this sentence in my book (which is about an exhibition):
я давно хотела посмотреть её.
The first verb is imperfective and the second verb is perfective. I'm trying to figure out why. Is it because the speaker has wanted to do something for a long time (imperfective) and the thing she wants to do (see the exhibition) will only happen once?

You are probably right. I think that she still wants to see the exhibition, this is why the verb is imperfective. Although it is said in past tense, it is still valid in present.

Right. And посмотреть being a perfective verb, is that because seeing the exhibition is something that is going to happen just one time? (I'm trying to understand the difference between imperfective verbs and perfective verbs)

That's an interesting point. Thanks for adding it! I'll discuss this with my Russian teacher when my lessons start again in September.
