Why 화났어요 it’s to be angry in present when it has the termination 났어요 (in past) but for example verbs like 먹었어요 (to eat in past ) are in past tense when they have the same ending !!! I don’t know if I explain myself please help me

Plus I think it's because someone is already angry. The concept of the word angry is different from 화나다. And it's verb not adjective. Maybe that is why...

화나다 is the basic form. But when you talk about a person's emotional state, you have to say 화났다 instead of 화나다.
For example, he is 화났다

화나요 is also possible.
but, it's probably related with a culture difference. we don't like to make other people upset by using a straight word. So, it's one way to express angry imotional in another way.
