Meet: a verb.
You meet someone. You might not like them, you might not want to meet them again. All that has happened is; you met them. To meet someone is simply to meet them.
Get to know: to get to know someone is an idiom. It is very common and is used naturally in English speaking countries, but it is not an official word or phrase.
When you get to know someone, you want to talk to them and you want to know more about them, their interests, jobs, families.
Example:
“We just moved in a week ago, we are still getting to know our members!”
“I want to get to know you more.”

@vvorld0612summit No. 2 different things. We could get to know each other online via messaging but not physically meet one another and vice versa you could meet some one but not get to know them during that time.
