What ‘verb’ should I use when I want to say that there’s a thought in my mind that I keep thinking of it? Is ‘hang around’ okay? Show me examples too, please.

you could say hanging around, lingering, loitering, threading through my mind, running around, etc. there are lots of things you could say for saying thoughts in your mind. :)
ex. "I have these thoughts in my mind and they seem to be lingering around."
"My self thoughts are hanging about."
There are many ways and words to say. Some are slang, others are grammatically correct I suppose.
