Madonna celebrated her 58th birthday August 16 strolling and dancing in Cuba, the latest U.S. star to visit the communist island since it restored ties with Washington last year. (Quote from The Japan times ST)
I don't understand the structure of the sentence after "in Cuba" .
The latest U.S. star is an object of something? I don't know why is it possible to put this noun (star) before to.(grammatically I understand this "to"means purpose.)
