A “pile” is usually when things are stacked on top of each other in an orderly and neat fashion.
e.g. “I placed my books in a pile on my desk.”
A “tuft” is usually a collection of a soft material such as hair or cotton.
e.g. “I found a tuft of my dog’s hair on the floor.”
A “heap” is when things are stacked on top of each other but in an unorganised, random way.
e.g. “I threw my clothes into a heap on the floor.”
A “bundle” is usually a group of a few items tied or fastened together. Bundles are often given to people as gifts.
e.g. “For Christmas, my friend bought me a bundle of books.”
Hope this helps :)
