Is there a lot of bullying in Japan? I heard it’s common if you’re too nerdy, introvert, or bad at sports.

@undertherainjp Japan doesn’t recognise bullying the same way Western countries do. In Japan, there is less physical violence, and more talking behind the back, or verbal insults and discrimination. There definitely is bullying in Australia, physical, and verbal, but that’s because we’re a multicultural country. Unless you mess with someone, expect the same treatment happen to you. It’s a lot worse in the USA, since there are school shootings and lots of physical violence and few intervention. Japan has an uptight society, which is why bullying is encouraged amongst teachers and student.
