In "こちらを買い取らせていただきたい", why 買い取らせて is used and not 買い取って?

「いただきたい」 is, as you say, "I want to humbly do", meaning "I would appreciate that".
If you say 「買い取っていただきたい」, then it means "I want you to buy it", which is of course not correct to say to the owner of the item.
