They are the same! Alright is more of a slang term :)

I am a native speaker, and I actually say ok more than alright. Native speakers use both. Non-native speakers might have difficulty pronouncing alright.

I think a lot of non English languages have adopted ok as one of their own so maybe it's more natural for a learner
