"I wish" is more for things that are not likely to happen
"I wish somebody would find a cure for cancer" (it might happen but maybe some time long into the future)
"I want" is more for something more current and concrete like "I want somebody to clean up this mess right now"

If you wish something, you are just hoping it will happen. It’s is a weak way of saying something. Ex: I wish there were cookies for dessert. It would be great if the cookies were there, but it is ok that there are none. If you wish someone would get you cookies, it says you are ok if they don’t.
If you want something it is stronger. So in the example, you really want cookies for dessert and you may do something to get them such as go to the store. If you want someone to get you cookies, it is not quite a demand, but is saying that you almost expect them to do it. Not quite a need though.
Small children always “want”, they never “wish” and they may say they “need” but often that is still just a “want” (especially if it’s about cookies!)

RispostaIt’s the same. The only difference is you added the “for” but it’s unnecessary so you don’t need to use it unless you want to:)
