Qual è la differenza tra Pojechać and iść. I am failing to grasp the contextual differences between the two. e Examples I have:
Chcę pojechać do Polski
Muszę już iść

Pojechać means go by car, by bus or by any other vehicle.
Iść means go on foot.

@Nyfrea oh ok, the Po for pojechać made me confused. what is the PO for? I'm used to seeing it as just jechać ahahaha

@YEAHFTW "Pojechać" is perfective (dokonany), "jechać" is imperfective (niedokonany). They basically mean the same, but sometimes using one of them may sound unnatural.

@YEAHFTW There are plenty of them eg pojechać, zajechać, wjechać, wyjechać, dojechać, najechać, przejechać etc
Kind of similar confusion with phrasal verbs, there are plenty of up, down, out, off, over etc
A funny thing as an example: if you want a person to be quiet you may say 'Shut up' OR 'Keep the voice down', even though UP & DOWN basically have opposite meaning...

@8kaifan ahah too true it can get confusing, at least with English the spelling stays the same. Not as much of a brain exercise but quicker to grasp. Like I am going over there and I am over you. Or I am going off to work and this food has gone off. I like the last one though, the imagery I see is a piece of fruit suddenly grew legs and walked off to find a better sun bathing spot.

@YEAHFTW Belive me or not, English learners struggle with phrasal verbs and prefer "normal" ones. They don't belive phrasal verbs are normal LOL

@8kaifan Yeah it is a little weird I can see where they are coming from, using a couple words where as they condense it into a singular phrase ahah, easier and sounds grander. Each language has its ebbs I guess aha.
