I’m trying to help someone stop saying “how is correct “ and they keep asking why it’s wrong but I can’t find an answer for why it’s wrong. But as a native speak it’s just wrong. I say it’s the wrong question word but she keeps asking “why. How is correct ?” And it’s getting frustrating

@RyannB I’m not sure whether this is what you’re looking for, but you can just say to them that “how is correct” is grammatically incorrect, instead it’s better to say “how is this correct”

I told them that it is grammatically incorrect but they ask, why is it grammatically incorrect 🤣it’s always why and not just accept it for what it is

@RyannB What’s their native language? I’m assuming it’s not English, so you can simply say: “Because English is a different language, you should try your best to speak it well regardless of whether or not you think it sounds better the other way.” Say it in a nicer way of course 😂!
