Qual è la differenza tra ばあちゃん e おばあちゃん ?Sentiti libero di rispondere con un esempio.

Do natives call their grandmother ばあちゃん instead of おばあちゃん? I had supposed the former is not respectful. How could ばあちゃん be used here instead?

You are almost right, usualy ばあちゃん is not respectful, however, it sometimes depends on the way one speaks or his/her character.
In some cases ばあちゃん might sound very, very friendly or cozy.
It would be better to carefully see what kind of person uses ばあちゃん in what kind of situation.

I think rude person or children use ばあちゃん。
I am Japanese, but I've never used ばあちゃん。
I don't want to use ばあちゃん。
I use おばあちゃん when I call grandmother.

ばあちゃん…is not rude , just casual to call one's grandmother . sounds like friendly (familiar) .

おばあちゃん…all purpose any way.　polite and decent.
