Usually they can be synonymous i.e. to start walking or begin walking is the same. There are however differences like you can start a car (turn the engine on), but you can’t begin a car. Just to add also that begin is often attributed to something of longer duration i.e. a long-term project, whereas start normally refers to the short-term.

There is not much difference between them. Begin is more formal in some contexts.
Harriet: I loved the beginning of that film, where they’re standing in an open-field covered by snow.
Ian: I felt it was too slow-paced. It took almost an hour for anything to happen.
Roy: What time was your Zoom meeting meant to have started?
Simon: I have been waiting for the host to start the call since 10 o’clock.
Emily: Apologies for the delay, I got stuck in traffic.
Felicity: No problem. Right, now let us begin.
Greg: Tim, I have to go now. They’re getting started.

I have also just realised that another subtle difference is that begin is usually used when something has not happened before, but start often describes something that happens regularly. It is a very subtle difference though

Start means = something is started by a man suppose you are in a race and the race will be started by a man.
Begin = Something is about to start both are same. Now, suppose you are in a took admission in horse racing and in the horse racing stable suddenly your mother called you then she asked you " when the horse racing will begin? and you will answer the" It is about to start" here about to start means = begin.

I agree with most of above. I think begin often has to do with an activity or a story. Like a meeting, or studying a language. it's the first thing happening or all the things in the process. It often involves humans starting doing something. start is a bit more abrupt and it is like something being switched on. begin sounds a lot more relaxing like a story. like a meeting starting sounds more strict and regimental then a meeting beginning.
