I think i get it.. "ob" is used when expressing doubt and probably "falls/wenn" when there is a choice.. thanks!

Sort of.. ob just means „whether or if“. Falls doesn’t make sense here because it means „in the event of“ if you place that into your sentence above it doesn’t make any sense. Is that clearer? I could explain it more or give examples if you‘d like.
