It depends in the person. Teachers are on the lower end of the salary numbers, so if you want to live in a city, it is probably important that either you or your partner is paid higher. For me, I want to be successful myself and have a nice job, but I also want my future partner too as well. That way, it is less stressful if we want to spend money.

@luluabaza Yes! Pretty much anything in the business realm pays well (and so it is a good job). With more S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focused jobs, they pay better. With more artistic jobs like designers and artists, it is harder to get a good salary. A good example of this is Civil Engineers and Architects. If you go to school as an engineer, you will get paid maybe $20K-$30K more than the architect because an architect is considered more artistic.

@luluabaza Only teachers at either really good districts or private schools get paid that. I believe the actual number is more like $50,000 which is good but not great (especially compared to some business people who get paid $90,000.

@luluabaza Yeah. Salaries really vary from state to state, city to city. For example, in New York, the salary of an engineer is over $100,000 while the salary in Iowa is $75,000. It really depends on cost of living (New York is outrageous).
