This is different version of the old saying "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" usually used to describe the death of someone or something.
A 'side chick' is a women who is not a man's wife or girlfriend but has relations with the male while he is in a relationship.
"Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks" doesn't really make sense.

@lunalovegood "Biting the dust" is what happens when you fall face first into the dirt. So when "another bites the dust", it means that person has fallen out of the competition, or the company has failed or a couple has divorced etc.

@lunalovegood There might be a deeper meaning I don't understand, but I think it's there because "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" and being a 'side chick' bring up the same sad feeling.

One lesson to learn when learning a language - don't use song lyrics. They often make no grammatical sense, or indeed don't have good grammar in them. Take two lines from Adele's "Hello" and the correct form:

Yes I do acknowledge that sometimes song lyrics make no sense and I can rarely learn anything from it. Just being curious :D maybe it's just an American slang?
