If someone says "hey do you want to come out for dinner?" what does "come out for" exactly mean here? Because there seems to be two possible definitions:
1) come out for ... to agree, support (an idea), therefore, "do you want to agree/support the idea of going out for dinner?"
2) come out for ... literally, "come out (of your house), or show up" (and why? it is) "for dinner."

@coy thank you! So, can I say, "in the meeting, most of the members said they agree with the new plan, but there was someone who didn't want to come out for it." (To agree and support)"
