@Imtiyazhusen in fact, this works with other nouns too like “a person” and “the person”
For example:
A person at the back shouted (someone in the back)
The person at the back shouted (that specific person at the back, identifiable)

"a dentist" is 1 dentist.
ex. I want to be a dentist when I grow up.
"the dentist" describes it as a place.

They are both correct but “I don’t like going to the dentist” would be more used because when you say “a dentist”, it could mean any dentist while “the dentist” is a specific dentist (like the dentist you always go to)

@tiffachu But, if I will say, ‘ a dentist’ is it like I don’t like to visit any dentist ?
