If the verb for to see is 보다 and I want to say I see something why is it conjugated to 봐요? I learned that to get the verb stem you drop the “다” from the end. So if the verb stem is 보 why is it conjugated to 봐요? Where does the “ㅏ” come from, how come it’s not just 보요? If someone could explain this to me i’d be very grateful

요 cannot come right after a verb stem. One of the common endings used with the particle 요 in the indicative mood is -아/어, and 봐요 consists of 보 + -아 + 요.
