Ich zeige dem Herrn den Weg zum Bahnhof.
Why “Herrn” takes a “n” while it is not plural? Knowing that in dative case only the plural nouns take an « n »?

It is the type of declination used for "Herr".
You find this for other nouns, too - it's not restricted to the plural only:
der Kunde > dem Kunden
der Junge > dem Jungen
der Name > dem Namen
der Mensch > dem Menschen
etc.

@Kimberson Thank you! I learnt this rule in my grammar book and it states that only the plural nouns in dative take an n. Is this form then used in the writing or only in speaking?

@Fatinur Your grammar book seems to be wrong in this case: Yes, this rule applies to many nouns, but not all. These declensions are used both in spoken and written language for the words I mentioned (and nouns with the same type of declension, too):

@Fatinur Addition: Maybe your book was talking about the strong declension?
I see that all of these nouns are listed as having a weak (or mixed) declension.

@Kimberson . I think that the book has some missing information about this rule. Thank you for your reply and websites!

@Kimberson The book doesn’t talk about strong declension. It states that only the plural nouns take an “n” as I mentioned in the first post.
