A1) Yes, both sentences mean the same thing. You're simply adding more context to your sentences
A2) Yes it's correct you have just answered it with a few more words. If you're writing an essay about menus, it means that the topic 'menus' has already been identified so writing the sentence according to S2 format wont be neccisary
hope that makes sense

Thank you very much!
1. Then is my sentence A wrong?
2. And what does "in comparison to the others" describe in your sentence?

i wouldn't say your sentence is correct because it doesn't sound natural...
"in comparison to others" is the correct way of saying "compared to others" in your sentence.
they mean the same thing, your choice of words just sounded a little unnatural in this context:)

- I like the menu in the restaurant the most, in comparison to the others.
But I'm curious what "in comparison to the others" describes in your sentence.
Does "in comparison to the others" describe "the menu" ?
Thank you very much

ahaha i had a totally different meaning in mind.
when you said 'others' in the first sentence i thought you meant other people as in your friends.
opts for saying
I like the menu in *this* restaurant the most, in comparison to the others.
"in comparison to the others" doesnt neccisarily describe the menu it's just telling you that the other menus aren't as good.

I have two more questions. Would you please help me out lastly?
S1. I like the menu in this restaurant the most, in comparison to the others.
S2. I like the menu in this restaurant the most, in comparison to the other menus.
Q1) Does sentence S1 mean sentence S2?
Q2) Is sentence S1 correct English when sentence S1 means sentence S2?
Would you answer my two questions separately?
Thank you very much

Just out of curiosity, do you speak only English as your native language?
As far as I know, there are a lot of official languages in South Africa, so I guess you may be a multilingual?

yes, I'm bilingual... I learn Afrikaans as a second language. You have a choice between zulu and afrikaans at my school and choosing one is compulsory.
I know of many people that speak english, afrikaans, setho and xhosa fluently.
those are a few of the south african languages:o
