I received the sentence below from my business counter part.
=====
Apologies if that didn't come across in the email.
=====
What does "come across" mean in this sentence. I looked it up in the dictionary but could not find a definition that fits into the sentence.

come off or come over or encounter can be fit into the sentence
- Giapponese
@munazzaahmed72 Thank you for your input. The original context was that my counterpart explained something to me prior to this conversation, and I didn't understand what he explaned to me well. And in his next reply, he mentioned the sentence above. So, "come off or come over or encounter" doesn't seem to fit into the setence. I am guessing "come across " should mean something like "make something understood", but does "come across " have that type of meaning?
