You could say they are all the 존댓말 or honorifics of english.
1. Sir is meant to be used with men only! You use it on older men or of a higher rank/position than you.
2. Ma'am is the women equivalent of sir! Used to sound more respectful towards women and who are older than you most of the time. Also when you don't know their name and still want to sound respectful.
3. Mr (Mister) is for men. Ms (Miss) is for women. Mrs (Missus) is for married women.
This used to be more relevant back in the days at around 17th century. Nowadays it is not as used but you can see it a lot in written form when it is implied to be diplomatic while making a letter and like I've said, on older people I can still see it a lot. Hope it helped. ^^
