I have a question, I found it on the internet so it could be wrong, since in an english dictionary there's no explanation for 'reach to'
btw it says, reach to : (intransitive) to be long enough to get to a particular point
ex) her blonde hair reaches to her waist / the ladder can't reach to the roof
and another example (transitive) : his land reaches the river
'reach to' can be used when it can be measured with your arms or what, like within a limited distance ?? why not 'his land reaches to the river'?

@ttlearner Yes, it’s wrong. You can reach out to someone, reach for something, etc
But not “reach to”. At least I cannot think of a single example where it would be used... 🤷🏼♀️

You wouldn’t say “ The ladder can’t reach to❌ the roof” you would just say “the ladder can’t reach the roof” or “her hair reaches her waist / her hair is almost reaching her waist”.
