What does "the craft of things" mean?

do you guys recommend I play it as the og version or that new version with everything unlocked on just one webpage
because I'm really just trying to experience the story as cool of a game as it is
I get that getting lost is also part of the appeal but again I really just want to experience everything in the game, I can appreciate the craft of things when I finish

This isn’t a common saying, and sounds awkward to me, honestly. I think they just meant they want to experience the game when it’s completed, or “fully crafted,” but it’s an odd way of saying it.

I had a different interpretation, given the way he's juxtaposing these two ideas.
From the sound of it, the game is already complete, and you can play it in fully-unlocked mode.

I think it means "the technique or art of finding your way through the game with things still locked."
It would take a lot of practice and refining of skills in order to play the game normally, which is the "craft" that a lot of gamers relish. (Especially the ones who like to play games like Dark Souls.)

We don't usually call it a "craft", but I can tell that that's probably what he means here.
