저 = I. We use 저 instead of 나 when we want to speak politely. Like situations talking to older people, teachers or your boss.
저는 = subject form of 저.
In Korean, different postposition is attached to the word depending on it's role in a sentence. (English doesn't have postposition)
는, 은, 이, 가 make words work as subject.
예.)
나는 그 책을 읽었어. (talking to your friend)
저는 그 책을 읽었어요. (talking to your teacher)
You better think you should use 저 instead of 나 unless you talk to your friend or children.
