Hi, guys. I need your help. The company I'm applying to asked me by e-mail when I'd be available to interview. I'd like to say that I'll be available as long as they let me know at least 3 days prior to the interview. What should I write?

A better approach, as an applicant, might be to say,

I am available at any time, but would greatly appreciate it if you can give me at least three days notice before the interview.

That way you are not coming across as heavy-handed or demanding.

(Of course, you would precede this with a statement about how excited you are to meet with them…)

@KHMitchell Thanks for your help. Oh anyway, Grammar suggested that I use an apostrophe after the word 'days', but I'm not sure why. Is "3 days notice" the same as saying "a 3-day notice"? Thanks again.

Your grammar checker is doing its job. Yikes!! I should not have said “three days notice.” Your idea of saying, “a three-day notice,” is correct and will not confuse your grammar checker. I apologize for the mistake!

Also, for something formal like this, the English style books generally recommend spelling numbers (three instead of 3) up until you reach 10; after that, using the numerals is acceptable.
